United States

All Items CPI-U from BLS

The Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes CPI-U and CPI-W series. We base our U.S. inflation pages on the CPI-U “All Items” basket and let you follow year-to-present comparisons for every dollar amount you search.

Programmatic coverage

Dedicated URLs for every year and basket

Like in2013dollars.com, we publish static pages such as “Value of $100 in 1990 in United States” to own those high-intent searches. Each link below quotes the official data source and highlights the year comparison, methodology, and CPI basket.

Sources & next steps

We lean on BLS CPI-U data, replicate the downloads, and script the monthly-to-annual conversions. To expand to new regions, drop the raw CSV into raw_data/ and run npm run generate:inflation.
